Turing Test For Felines

Alan Turing, a brilliant mathematician, once coined what has come to be known as the Turing test of artificial intelligence:

“A computer can be said to be intelligent if it can fool a human into mistaking it for another human.”

In this context, since my cat tricked me into feeding him twice last night, he has passed the Turing Test for Cats which I have reformulated as:

A feline can be said to be intelligent if it continually fools the human member of the household.

He is taunting me now, proud in victory. As I gaze at him he is continually licking his chops and wagging his tail with ferocious and superior thumps.

Final Score

Feline – 1

Human – 0

Give the feline an opposable thumb and she'd be unstoppable! Next up, toilet training. I've heard it can be done.

Yuck! Did you get all the cat fur out of the refrigerator? Our cats tag-team us for canned food. I feed them and meander upstairs and if my hubby goes in the kitchen they wail "no one has fed us in hours!" It's quite impressive.

pop, o does not shed much so all was well.

Mine do something along the lines of what "Pop and Ice" said...
They will come to me, dragging themselves across the floor, looking pitiful, neglected, abused even, and say, (well mentally say) "Look at me, I'm wasting away to NOTHING!" "I'm neglected, unloved, worse off than orphan kitties out in the street, it's been at LEAST 15 minutes since I was last fed!"
I of course feel their pain and feed them... I am nothing if not helpful! lol BIG HUGS, Steph
