"IT WAS the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way- in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only."
Charles Dickens, from a "A Tale of Two Cities"

Everyone (including me) knows the first part of that paragraph and should recognize it. I have never read "A Tale of Two Cities" but I might now. I've never found Dickens all that readable but the rest of that paragraph intrigues me.
Sandy, I read it long ago but the adolescent me liked it.
I love Dickens. I need to find one I haven'y read and get to it. Oh wait- all my college books have taken over my leisure reading. :(
And perhaps I can learn to type as well. Haha: "haven'y". I was using a Scottish accent, that is all.
mary, well your college books should come first. I admire you for choosing to go back to school.
