Memorial Day is almost upon us in the United States, reminding us that many people have lost their lives in defense of their country. One can only hope there will be a day when war is obsolete, and peace and harmony are the only way forward.
Agreed. So grateful for all those that are out there for us. We can never repay them.
here is hoping...
I feel the same way. We always remember and keep the hope.
We can always hope.
Yes. One can only hope.
Indeed. Most anyone who has ever served in a war is aware of its utter futility and waste. Too bad the politicians don't pay more attention to what the soldiers have to tell them.
Wouldn't that be amazing. Haven't seen a post in awhile, Laoch. Are you okay?
It's a good wish. And not too Pollyanna-ish. After all, we are killing far few of each other now than we used to. Wars are still horrific, but the body counts are nothing like what they were in the 20th century. Or the 1st.
Missing your posts - hope you are okay
Are you finished reflecting yet? No pressure bud.
Gandhi:"I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles. Today, it means getting along with people." Best wishes to you!
Laoch, I really enjoy your writings and hope everything's ok. --Geo. 7/11/14
